The Gage Canal Biking and Walking Path is a 9.5-mile out-and-back trail that's generally considered an easy route. It takes on average about three hours and 20 minutes to complete.

This path is located in a friendly community in Riverside. It follows a historical canal that dates to 1886 and carried water from the Santa Ana River to the original Riverside townsite.

The path saunters through a beautiful area full of trees and plants and follows a dirt road that’s backed up against peoples’ backyards.

About a mile and a half into the trail, there is an area that only allows walkers -- not bicycles, so be mindful of the regulations on this route.
