Currently, we do not know when we will add more service. Metrolink is monitoring our current ridership levels. We continue to assess ridership demands as we consider future schedule changes.

October 23 Schedule Update FAQs

The Antelope Valley (AV), Ventura County (VC) and San Bernardino (SB) lines. The Antelope Valley Line is adding more weekday and weekend trains to increase service and accommodate a new train station. VC Line trains 100 and 109 have been slightly adjusted for more efficient operations between the AV and VC lines. San Bernardino Line Train 304 departure times are adjusted at four stations for more efficient operations.

To increase service and include time to stop at a new station on the Antelope Valley Line and improve efficiency on the San Bernardino Line.

Currently, we do not know when we will add more service. Metrolink is monitoring ridership levels. We continue to assess ridership demands as we consider future schedule changes.

Metrolink considered several options to increase service levels on the Antelope Valley Line. Due to limitations on the number of locomotives, train engineers and conductors, and the addition of nine new trains for midday and late-night service, the train with the lowest early-morning ridership needed to be removed from service. However, train 202’s schedule was adjusted nearly 30 minutes earlier to lessen the impact for customers who use train 200.

Metrolink Security will be adding armed security guards to each out the last three trains on the Antelope Valley Line. In addition, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Metrolink Bureau will provide additional resources to support extended coverage and response.

Due to limitations of train engineers and conductors, and the addition of six more weekend trains, we could not extend the last train to Lancaster.
