This beautiful, dog-friendly 132-acre park in Ventura offers 14 open acres of fresh air and outdoor space to enjoy with family and friends.
Here, visitors will find peaceful tree-lined open grass areas for children (and adults) to play, individual picnic and barbecue sites for cooking burgers on a summer evening (or any evening -- because Ventura’s weather is gorgeous year-round) and three group barbecue areas.
Two designated children’s play areas offer kids a safe place to entertain themselves and an on-site nature center offers educational fun for kids and adults alike to learn about local critters, flora and fauna. Fitness enthusiasts will find several miles of hiking trails to explore and gorgeous views of this coastal city.
One of the best times of year to visit is during the spring when the wildflowers come to life, blooming up to three or four feet tall, and the colorful migrating butterflies flutter throughout the park.
The park is open daily from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. and is an ideal destination for a day trip, or as a stop on an adventure in Ventura County.
